Station #60 of the
Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) Pacific is a volunteer marine search and rescue organization that is an integral part of the Canadian Search and Rescue (SAR) system. Station 60 Comox is one branch of CCGA-Pacific. The men and women of Station 60 Comox are made up of dedicated community members who volunteer their time to be trained in marine SAR and boating safety education in order to better serve the people of the Comox Valley and save lives on the water. The CCGA-Pacific and Station 60 Comox’s mission is to provide a volunteer marine rescue service and to promote public boating safety education and prevention.

Station 60 Comox’s goals are:

  • to save 100 % of lives at risk

  • to reduce the number and severity of SAR incidents

  • to promote marine safety

  • to support the Canadian Coast Guard

  • to provide a humanitarian service

  • to maintain the highest professional standards

  • to promote dedication and pride of membership

  • to support environmental monitoring and the aquaculture industry in Bayne Sound

Station #60 is always looking for new members who currently have their PCOC card. Full training is provided in the classroom and on the water. Meetings are held on the second Monday of every month. For further information, contact Peter at 250-890-0554 email membership
